In the year of 1984, a professor and a marine
biologist got together with the idea of growing spirulina in
Hawaii. They had a grand vision that one day, the world will
come to know the goodness of this humble algae. Today, as a
monument to that vision, there stands a 90 acre spirulina farm
at Kona, on the island of Hawaii. Kona Green, conceived, and
developed together the original founders of Hawaiian spirulina
farm, seeks to expand on their vision. It is our mission in
Kona Green to raise people's awareness on healthy
living and to enjoy tasty, natural, and nutritional
food. Our very own Kona Green product line aims to do just

Kona's year round sunlight and
low amount of rainfall, coupled with the clean, pristine
environment, provide the ideal conditions for growing
spirulina. Spirulina grown here in Hawaii, are dried
using patented Ocean Chill Drying process- a process that
protects key nutrients against oxidation during drying.
